Why Our Cloud Reigns

A lot of people have different interpretations of what “cloud” software is. It basically means you can access the program wherever and whenever you have internet connection, and your information is securely stored remotely. QPro runs in a web browser, rather than what they call a “a terminal emulation program” like the majority of other cloud software products. This means QPro POS software will run on ANY device at any time, and will adapt better across all of these different platforms.

As an increasing number of people in the home improvement and home furnishings industry use mobile devices like smartphones, iPads, etc. to do business, mobility and flexibility have become a big deal. Our distinctive combination of background, education, and experience came together perfectly

to create an exceptional tool for the unique needs of the home improvement industry

QPro software CEO Chad Ogden and CFO Trent Ogden grew up in the home improvement industry. Their father owned a chain of floor-covering stores in the intermountain west. The stores also featured furniture, countertops, and other home furnishings/home improvement. From a young age the boys helped out with every facet of the business.

Chad turned his focus to technology, and graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering. He worked in the high tech industry for nearly a decade, rising to Director of Engineering/Software Development. Chad decided to take on the role of entrepreneur when he saw the great need for better business management software in the floorcovering industry.

Trent holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA, and has decades of experience managing flooring stores. He is an expert in finances, and nationally recognized for his wise and practical insights into successful business practices.

In 1999, Chad and Trent combined forces to create QFloors, a user-friendly ERP software program. The company has grown a large and very loyal customer base throughout the U.S. and Canada. As the founders saw many of their customers successfully using the software to sell additional products such as paint, wallcoverings, furniture, appliances, lighting, and more, they realized that the software’s benefits were not solely in the flooring industry.

They carefully researched the unique needs of various home improvement businesses, and launched an intensive development effort to create a cutting-edge, user-friendly cloud software program. The lessons learned from the feedback and insights of hundreds of their existing customers helped them design an easy-to-learn system that boosts efficiency, productivity, and profitability in any sized business.
